A conceptual website design based on a metaphor

This was a conceptual project based on a metaphor. The website is for a fictional detective agency called Unlock, specialising in uncovering secrets, finding people and solving mysteries.
My aim was to create a design that would immediately convey the themes of hidden information and investigation. The key visual element is, quite literally, a key that unlocks secrets

2. Design
My idea was to combine clean typography with a slightly mysterious illustration. First, I created an illustration of a key in Procreate. Then, I converted it to a vector and combined it with the letter "U". Finally, I created a website layout in Figma. I also added a red thread weaving through the letters and the website, inspired by detective stories and the way clues connect everything together

/final_result
The result is a bold, minimalist design that conveys a sense of seriousness and playfulness. It’s a clean website with striking visual metaphors that convey a story at first glance

/reflection
This project taught me how to subtly incorporate metaphors into visuals. I enjoyed working with composition and typography here. I am happy with the result, but I enjoyed the process even more
