This piece wasn’t planned. It was created entirely spontaneously, with no sketches, moodboards or references. I simply opened Procreate and started drawing, letting it happen naturally.
The painting depicts a red-haired boy with his head submerged in an aquarium filled with fish. I titled it "In Thoughts" because it visualises that quiet, surreal state of being lost inside your own mind — detached from the outside world and floating among drifting thoughts.
There’s no specific narrative behind it. It's just an emotion captured in a moment: calm, slightly melancholic and reflective

I worked entirely in Procreate, primarily on a single layer. I used the most basic brushes and did a lot of blending with the smudge tool. The colours weren’t planned. I simply relied on my visual memory and taste, which I have developed through years of observation and study

The result is one of my personal favourites: a calm, semi-realistic portrait that feels simultaneously strange and familiar. It captures the tranquil space where thoughts drift freely, much like fish in water

Even though this piece is already five years old, it remains one of my favorites. I really like the use of color here, even the centralized composition, which is quite ordinary but works well for the idea. And I like the feeling that this piece conveys
